Peaceful Parlour is a general store for the conscious consumer and community gathering place, located in Geneva, IL.  We offer products that are locally made, USA made, natural or organic, hand crafted and made from renewable, sustainable or recycled materials.  Our focus is to find unique products with environmental and community benefits, supporting local artists, small businesses, fair trade and women co-op groups around the world.  We are the “go to place” for individuals who are conscious of the earth’s limited natural resources and are looking for ways to live more sustainably.

Peaceful Parlour is brimming with stylish and unique green gifts for children and adults.  We make it easy for all ages to discover that they do not need to sacrifice comfort or style to have green products or lifestyle.  You always know what you get with our products as we give full-disclosure of all ingredients and none of our items are carelessly mass-produced.

Our customers mean the world to us!  We are very proud of our customer service and strive to make everyone's visit to Peaceful Parlour a memorable one.  We have in store samples of our essential oil synergistic blends and other body products such as 'no exema' creme, healing hands hemp butter and more.  Peaceful Parlour is kid and family friendly.  Our kids' playroom is stocked with crayon rocks to color and we always have a few toys for sampling and play, giving the adults a few minutes to explore our shop.  If you are lucky, our very own pre-schooler. Alekzander, will be there to personally welcome and entertain the kids.  Be sure to check out our facebook page for the 'Alekzander Approved Album' and see him test all of the toys and kids products.  We frequently sample our Peaceful Synergy Herbal Tea as well as other hand made foods for sale in the store and have been known to pass out organic lollipops.  Feel free to spend a few minutes in our garden checking out the vegetable, herbs and watch the wildlife in our sunflower patch.  We encourage everyone to slow down and actually stop and smell the roses, or in our case, the basil.

The products we offer all have a story to tell.  First and foremost we strive to provide products that benefit and the planet and people; and, in many cases we accomplish both of these goals.  Most of our vendors use minimal packaging, recycled paper or biodegradable materials and their employees live green, eco-conscious, sustainable lifestyles.  Our waste fisherman rope from Maine was saved from a landfill and turned into durable doormats; our recycled plastic bags are handmade by ladies in poverty who are now able to send their children to school; our wind chime bells are pounded into shape by hand and baked in the desert sand to achieve their unique look.  We are committed to sourcing USA made products and support local artists from traditional painters and photographers to sewers and sculptures who create treasure from trash (up-cycling).
